Morning

Pattern of rain on a hot tin roof
Chanting throughout morning
That Life is awake.
Rippling shadows of daydreams
Wet kisses on flowers
And the beat of the world
As it turns around again.

Soft sparkling jewels
On the robes of the court
In the fancy nodding sway
Of trees at their bathing.
Rituals danced in the air above,
On a wing, singing prayers,
This day has spoken.
